There is a common myth that working with animals is difficult and troublesome. At Animals on Blue we believe that this has come about due to the fact that most people try to film animals using the human agenda.  However, animals usually have a somewhat different take on things, and also speak their own languages. We find that it is much easier to communicate with an elephant in Elephant or a llama in Llama than try to make them learn human.  We have discovered that the best way to get great footage from an animal is to try to understand the natural behaviour patterns of a particular species as well as the personal characteristics of the individual animal with which we are working. Animals, like humans, have their own individual personalities. We always take the time to get to know the members of our cast, on their own terms. The result is a way of working with them that is productive for us, and stimulating for them. And of course, we always put the wellbeing and happiness of each and every animal that we film before our own.
